For 21 years, Sarnia Snowfest has wowed audiences by creating a wonderful winter wonderland. Every year we invite artists from all over the world to come and sculpt massive 8ft tall blocks of snow, turning them into wonderful works of art for all to enjoy. This winter carnival has grown over time and is a festival that is enjoyed by adults and children alike.
You can take a ride on the snow slide, go tobogganing on the berms in Centennial Park, eat lots of yummy food from one of our vendors, enjoy live entertainment in our large Entertainment Igloo and much much more.
Come out to Dow People Place and Centennial Park in Sarnia this January 16-22, 2012 to get in on all the action. Only $2 for Adults and $1 for Children, this affordable winter carnival has something fun for families and children of all ages.
Now in our 21st year, we have taken the festival to new heights this year as we add some super new features. Come out and try Olde Fashioned Snow Taffy, made right before your eyes. You can play in our giant snow castle, watch movies in the Igloo and much more.
Monday, January 16
7pm-10pm - Rockband Challenge: Are you an inspiring rock star? A
Rockband Rock Star that is. Get the band together and join us for the
Rock Band Challenge in the Entertainment Igloo. For only $2 in
advance or $7 at the door you can compete in a fun night of playing
Rockband 3 for Playstation 3. Enjoy the performances and a great night
of fun in the Igloo. Rockband Challenge is the new Karaoke. Don't
miss out. Tickets on-sale soon.
Tuesday, January 17
Movies in the Igloo presented by the YMCA
6pm-8pm - Children's Movie: Smurfs: When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the
tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world
into New York City.
8pm-10pm - Pre-release Movie: Real Steel: Set in the near future, where robot boxing
is a top sport, a struggling promoter feels he's found a champion in a
discarded robot. During his hopeful rise to the top, he discovers he has an 11-year-old son
who wants to know his father. Starring Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly
Wednesday, January 18
Teen Dance presented by the Sarnia Riding Club
7pm-9pm - Tween Dance - If you are in grades 5-9, join us for the Sarnia
Riding Club Teen Dance in the Entertainment Igloo. Event costs $8 and will
go on-sale soon. Music by DJ Jaga Musical Entertainment.
Thursday, January 19
7pm-10pm - Opening night Gala reception - Enjoy a great night of Hors D'oeuvres and live
entertainment. Plus you can have the chance to bid on some great silent auction items in
support of Sarnia Snowfest. Guests will also get to try their hands at actual ice carving.
Tickets are $30 and will go on-sale soon.
Friday, January 20
7pm-10pm - Night of Comedy - Prepare to laugh! Sarnia Snowfest presents a night of Comedy in the
Snowfest Entertainment Igloo. Come out and enjoy a great night with some great
comedians Nile Seguin and Marilla Wex. Stay tuned to this spot for the line-up. Tickets are only
$15 in advance and $20 at the door and go on-sale soon.
Saturday, January 21
8am-11am - Pancake Breakfast - Come on out and join us for breakfast. For only a
toonie you can get pancakes smothered in syrup and a drink. Buy your
ticket at the Snowfest Entertainment Igloo when you arrive.
11am-12n - Tim Holland: The Puppet Tamer - Free with your Snowfest admission.
12n-1pm - tbd
7pm-12m - Saturday Night Concert: Suzie McNeil live in Snowfestentertainment Igloo. Tickets are only $20 in advance and
$22 at the door. Suzie has had a number of hits including
the theme song for the 2010 Winter Olympics "Believe".
She has appeared on television shows like YTV's "The
Next Star" and CBS's "Rockstar: INXS"

9am-10am - Zumba Class with Caroline Irwin
10am-11am - Body Flow Class with Goodlife Fitness
11am-12n - Children's Show: Peter Mennie - Free with your Snowfest admission.
12n-1pm - Tai Chi demonstration with the Sarnia Taoist Tai Chi club
12n-2pm - Free face painting: courtesy of Cat at "The Painted Cat"
2pm-3pm - Children's Show: Peter Mennie - Free with your Snowfest admission.
3pm-4pm - Learn to Sculpt Ice demonstration

Sarnia Snowfest
Sarnia Snowfest exists to provide a world class winter carnival for the city of Sarnia and for Ontario and parts of Michigan. We also desire to promote the art of Snow Sculpting in Ontario.
